Tutorial feed back
For today’s tutorial I submitted these images:
I chose these because:
- They were the best images I thought I had to offer
- they showed a good range of subject matter
- I thought using these images I put cross that I was heading down an environmental/political theme
- Having a couple of black and white images shows that I willing to add variety to the presentation to my work.
Actual tutorial feedback:
Negatives:
- Black and white images were too dark/ out of place with the colours
- All images were too dark and lacking contrast
- Too many images on display
- Lack of editing
Positives:
- Good composition across all images
- Good diversity within the images presented
- Clear theme
- A lot of work been done
My response to feedback.
I’m pretty happy with the feedback that I got. When I went
in the feedback session I presumed that it was a general check-up on what we
had been doing in that last few weeks, rather than a proper group crit, so I
wasn’t a hundred percent prepared with my image editing and print quality. As
for the response to the black and white images, I think I agree as they don’t
really fit aesthetically with the others and the colour variation not only look
better but fit better within the group.
